A teacher who not knowing her subject well.
A doctor using a different brand of medicine than what he prescribes. A tailor getting his clothes stitched from some other tailor. A hotelier not eating food at his own hotel. A safety equipment manufacturing company without fire-extinguishers. A coach not practising what he preaches. A banker who steals money from his customer's accounts. A traffic cop not following the traffic rules. A judge falling for a crime. We keep hearing about such people in the news. Unfortunately, such people do exist in the world that we live in. But we cannot imagine living a world with teachers, businesses, bureaucrats, emergency service providers and a government consisting of only these people. The whole society would fail. Without authenticity the whole system would fail. The world is worth living in because of people who say what they do and do what they say. Thankfully you can make out when people are not authentic. And people can make out when you are not authentic. Who is fooling whom?

I was a Windows PC user for a long time. One of the functions that I thoroughly admired was Shift+Delete. There are lot of files that we like to save for later. Shift + Delete really comes in handy when we want to delete these files, permanently, when you dont need them. You really had to be sure before you press both of them together. No second thoughts.
We tend to keep thoughts, feelings, memories and things in our life for a really long time. Whether they are pleasant or not, contributing or not, we tend to save it for later. These form an unnecessary clutter in our lives. Filling up the space that is available. Slowing down our systems. Try using Shift + Delete for those thoughts, feelings, memories and things that you dont need. Don’t be attached to these unproductive elements. Don’t save it for later. You will probably never need them. The cost of saving them for later is much more than regenerating them or finding a substitute when required. So Shift + Delete and make a little space for important things. You can try that for some people too. At least mentally. |
